Role responsibilities

  • Work closely with business and technology audit colleagues to ensure that key risks are identified and assessed in the program of audit coverage.
  • Plan, execute, document and draft audit reports for audits conducted largely within the business
  • Perform audit work in accordance with department and professional standards, and complete assignments in an efficient manner.
  • Provide continuous monitoring of technology areas. Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology leaders and related control groups.
  • Stay up to date with evolving industry and regulatory changes impacting the business and technology environment.
  • On-going relationship management with key technology managers responsible for the technology platforms.
  • Monitor key risk indicators, significant change activities and escalation of emerging issues to management in a timely fashion.
  • Travel to overseas business locations as required. While the amount of travel will vary depending upon business need, approximately 20-30 per cent should be anticipated.



Ideal candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Accounting, Finance or related discipline with at least 6 years of work experience as a Technology Auditor. Prior experience in Treasury and Security Services is preferred.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required with ability to present complex and sensitive issues in writing and orally to senior management.
  • Solid understanding of internal control concepts with the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of controls by considering business, IT and infrastructure risks in an integrated manner.
  • Working knowledge of application and infrastructure controls, for example Access Administration, Change Management, Security Configuration and Business Resiliency.
  • Experience with working with infrastructure software including operating systems (for example, Wintel, UNIX and Linux) and databases (for example, Oracle and SQL).
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across the technology and business audit teams through a proactive, open and communicative approach through all aspects of planning, execution and reporting.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with our clients, as we share common goals of providing a well controlled operating environment to maximize value to our shareholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with minimal supervision.
