Senior Internal Auditor EMEA

Job Description

Fortune 250 Company is looking to hire a Senior Internal Auditor for their branch in Lyon, France. The Senior Internal Auditor should effectively apply strong adaptability to different business environments, operate in adherence with the Internal Audit procedures and methodology of the firm, and directly report to the EMEA Internal Audit Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in internal audits throughout the region led by the EMEA Internal Audit Manager
• Perform walkthroughs of key processes to validate process documentation and assess risks around internal controls, with limited supervision
• Compile and interpret key data points that will facilitate a risk-based approach to implementing and maintaining a strong internal control environment
• Participate in the construction of an adequate audit plan, with the region and the functions
• Act in an advisory and consulting role, including monitoring management's progress on remediation activities
• Collaborate with the EMEA Internal Audit Manager to identify key resources to assist in performing audits

Desirable Skills:

• 3-5 years of external audit experience from a Big 4 firm or internal audit experience
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or other relevant areas of study
• CIA qualification is highly desirable
• Knowledge of audit techniques and frameworks (COSO, COBIT, ITIL)
• Knowledge of trading systems or experience in a banking environment will be a plus
• Basic knowledge of forensic investigation techniques
• Rigorous, solutions-oriented and comfortable working in ambiguous and stressful situations
• Fluency in English, second language is a plus e.g. French, Russian, etc
• Willingness to travel up to 40%
